- Even today in India there is a chance that you may buy loose grains / grocery products for which the shopkeeper gives a huge plastic bag eg. Wheat, sugar, peanuts. These plastic bags directly go to the dustbin the very next day. Lot of such plastic waste can be avoided if we handover our own sturdy fabric bags and ask him to pack our order in strictly these bags.
Even if we are able to save 2 / 3 plastic bags going to waste per month ( coz most of our other grocery products come pre packed), it is still worth.
We can also use these bags for storing vegetables in the fridge daily.
